Fred M. Tonelli

Fred is the founder of Tonelli Estate Law, a boutique law firm focused on Estate Planning, Probate Applications, and Estate Administration.

Fred works with individuals and families to provide clear, practical guidance and bring structure to complex legal processes during some of life’s most important – and often difficult – moments. His practice is built on responsiveness, trust, and building long-term relationships with clients and their families.

Prior to founding Tonelli Estate Law, Fred practiced at two prestigious Estates and Trusts firms in Toronto and worked as a Trust Officer at a major Canadian financial institution, where he gained hands-on experience administering and managing estates and trusts.

Since his call to the Ontario Bar in 2020, Fred has practiced exclusively in Estates and Trusts Law.

A lifelong resident of Etobicoke, Fred maintains strong ties to the local community and is actively involved in the Toronto-area Polish and Italian diasporas. He currently serves on the Fundraising Committee of Copernicus Lodge Polish retirement home in the Roncesvalles neighbourhood and regularly participates in initiatives and events with organizations such as the Canadian Italian Advocates Organization (CIAO) and the Canada-Poland Chamber of Commerce. Through this involvement, Fred has built lasting relationships with families, professionals, and community leaders across the Greater Toronto Area.

Fred holds a law degree from the University of Windsor (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Toronto (2015). Fred is also an active alumnus of St. Michael’s College School (2011).

Outside of the office, Fred enjoys reading and writing about history, cooking, cycling, and playing hockey.
